How to join-in as a "Volunteer"

We roundly welcome all volunteers. There are certainly many ways in which you can have fun helping us to produce Period Brit-Lit dramas.

This volunteering will have the added advantage of giving you experience in your chosen field and industry, and gaining you a reference from ourselves with regard to your kind help with our charity.

Here are some of the immediate ways in which you can help. Doubtless, as we grow, many more roles will develop.:

  • You could help one of the fundraising committees in the UK, or the USA
These committees will deal with various aspects of fundraising, ranging from approaching foundations, HNW individuals, digital approaches, 'Legacies' through to events. These committees will be chaired by a trustee, who will report back to the Board of Trustees.
  • You could help one of the marketing committees in the UK, or the USA
There will probably be three marketing committees:
    • Social Media
    • Digital Marketing (including e.g. film festival submissions)
    • Events (e.g. Premières)
These committed will be chaired by a trustee, who will report back to the Board of Trustees.
  • You could help write the adaptations from any where in the world
Writers will be people with qualifications and/or experience in professional writing of some form. Initially, they will be revisers of first drafts who handle the sub-edits, and revisions (approx. 3 revisions per film). We will probably need 1 person per edit-version, per film. Such people will work under the advice of a script-consultant
  • You could help in actually producing the movies
    • Perhaps, as an established, 'name' actor, you may consider cameo and support roles, or you could be a guest director
    • You may be able to help as a member of the Production, or Post Production Teams
    • You may be able to help as cast, or crew
Our Managing Trustee will be producing for the first two strategic plans and thereafter, will be acting in the role of Quality Assurance EP on behalf of the Board, with other producers as they join. This is because, as fund raising and sales gathers momentum, the PBLF will be ramping up their adaptations of these long-neglected novels.
